Paul Kearns, BA, EMT-P, CPDM – President

Paul has been an emergency medical professional for the past twenty-five years. Paul graduated with a BA in history from the Plattsburgh State University of New York in 1990. Shortly after completing his degree, he continued with post-baccalaureate work in medical sciences and became a paramedic in 1992. Paul spent the next 10 years as a New York City paramedic, a critical care transport professional, and a firefighter. During that time, Paul conducted research with New York University Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital in the fields of emergency medicine, pediatric injury prevention, and pediatric paramedic education. In 2000, Paul assumed the role of Education, Performance improvement, and Research Director for the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System CEMS. He moved to North Carolina in 2005 and has been teaching with CPR Consultants since 2006.
Paul has been an American Heart Association Instructor since 1991. Paul is an accomplished speaker, giving talks on EMS, critical care transport, pediatric injury prevention, safety, disaster preparedness, and emergency response to stroke. Recently, Paul completed the graduate certificate in Community Preparedness and Disaster Management from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Public Health. In 2007, Paul was nominated to serve on the American Heart Association Community Strategies Council and continues to work with AHA Advocacy. Paul lives in Apex, NC with his wife Linda, and daughters Amanda and Leanne. When not at home with his family, you can find Paul cheering for his NY Jets, playing soccer, or golfing.
Clint Dean, MSN, RN, CCRN – Chief Operating Officer
Clint has been a medical professional since 2004 and an RN since 2005. Clint graduated with his ADN in 2005 from Wake Tech, BSN in 2013 from Winston-Salem State University, and MSN with a concentration in education in 2022 from Barton College. Clint has over 10 years of experience as an ICU nurse. Before moving into education, Clint gained several years of progressive management experience leading a 30-bed observation unit, 15-bed heart and vascular unit, and finally overseeing 10 outpatient behavioral health clinics. Clint has been teaching AHA programming since 2013.
Clint is an avid cook and as a North Carolina native, loves to travel to the beach or mountains whenever possible.
Rebecca DeWitt – Controller
Rebecca, who hails from Maryland, traveled down 95 South with her husband Doug in 1996 and started her own IT Business, ESP Computing. Although she has only been with CPR Consultants, Inc for a few years, she has been a part of the family for over 15 years as an IT consultant. With a background in Bookkeeping, Office Management and IT is was only a matter of time before she decided join CPR Consultants, Inc. Rebecca, is known as the foodie of the office and can always be found challenging the staff to try new foods.
YaKisha Cole – Director of Client Relations
YaKisha has been at CPR Consultants, Inc. since August 2010. Having started with the company as an part time office assistant, she was quickly promoted as the Office Manager. Everyone who comes in her presence always leaves feeling better. If her desk filled with Hello Kitty happiness does not change your mood, her infectious smile, joyful laughter and her over-the-top positive attitude certainly will. Her unique ability to develop and build lasting relationships with clients, encouraged her to embrace her current role as the Director of Client Relations.
YaKisha is a North Carolina native, born and raised in the “Bull City” (Durham). Together with her husband for over twenty years, David, they have two handsome sons B’jorn and Justin along with their furbabies Soumis and Hope. In her free time, YaKisha can be found working out, traveling, reading novels, cooking, watching football, playing pool, entertaining her family and friends or finding the lasted Hello Kitty items.
Danielle Williams – Office Manager
Danielle, the baby of the CPR family, moved from her small home town in New Jersey to North Carolina a few months ago. As a previous business owner, Danielle thrives on customer service with a robust attitude and a huge smile. This breath of fresh air with her curious disposition, keeps the office on their toes as she is always ready to learn new skills or take on new opportunities.
Danielle enjoys binge watching horror movies, styling natural hair and hanging outside in the sun with her beloved puppy Bleu.
Leanne Kearns – Office Administration
Stopping by to say hello occasionally and watching company operations from afar for the last 10 years, Paul’s daughter Leanne decided to join the fun after graduating from Appalachian State University. With her psychology degree in hand, Leanne enjoys building meaningful connections and having thought provoking conversation. She can always be found helping out with whatever is needed in the office with stealth like silence. As a hockey season ticket owner, Leanne can be found screaming cheers for the Carolina Hurricanes. She also enjoys attending local concerts, and spending time with her two dogs, George and Libby.
Lacheala Blount – Office Administration
In 2021, Lacheala moved from Orlando, Florida to Raleigh, North Carolina be closer to her family. She is a business owner that specializes in natural hair. Lacheala is also a mother to her energetic, 5-year-old son, whose name is Kayden. She loves to laugh and have a good time around amazing people with great energy! Everyone in her presence has no choice but to walk away with a smile on their face after speaking with her. She looks forward to growing with CPR Consultants in all aspects as she is our newest addition to the family.
